Keerthana is known for playing the lead actress role in some popular Tamil serials like Thirumathi Hitler and Ninaithen Vandhai and she is also known for featuring in two popular Kannada romantic-drama films Anju Manju Love Story and Madhura Swapna alongside Arjun Kapikad. In June 2015, She was seen in a Telugu action drama film Rudra IPS.

Keerthana Podhuval began her career by first featuring in the Malayalam romantic drama film Vellakkuppayam which was directed and written by Ramees Nandi in 2014. After that, She made her debut in the Telugu Film Industry where she played the recurring role in the action drama film Rudra IPS in 2015-16.
In 2015, Keerthana got the opportunity to play the lead role in the Kannada romantic-drama film Anju Manju Love Story alongside Dilip Pai and the film was directed and written by Sunil Hubli.
After gaining popularity, she again featured in a Kannada romantic-drama film Madhura Swapna alongside Arjun Kapikad, Ramakrishna, and Vinaya Prasad in 2016.
After two hit movies, Keerthana got the opportunity to make her debut in the Malayalam Television Industry by first featuring in Asianet’s thriller action soap opera Bharya a recurring role of CI Moujitha Naran in 2019.
In the same year, She played the main role in Zee Keralam’s psychological thriller soap opera Sumangali Bhava as Karthika alongside Richard Jose and Darshana Das.
Keerthana made her debut in the Tamil Television Industry by first appearing in Zee Tamil’s romantic-comedy drama serial Thirumathi Hitler as lead actress Hasini Chakravarthy alongside Amit Bhargav in 2020-22.
In January 2024, She grabbed headlines for playing the lead role in Zee Tamil’s Supernatural soap opera Ninaithen Vandhai.
